A new promo from The CW featuring all their Fall 2009 shows is up on YT. There are only a couple of glimpses of Mischa but she looks beautiful so well worth the view. The preview also features glimpses at Mischa’s co-stars Sara Paxton, Ben Hollingsworth and Elle Macpherson.
Mischa has written a blog about The Beautiful Life getting a pick-up. She’s also arrived back in the US, unfortunately just missing out on the upfronts presentation. Hopefully next time The CW can work around Mischa’s Herbal Essences commitments more successfully.
I’ve been traveling so extensively that I barely had time to react to my pilot getting picked up for a Fall launch. I’m so excited that even being in a foreign place like Moscow right now couldn’t stifle my enthusiasm. Russia was awesome and so too will it be to relocate to NYC and begin a regimented schedule for Beautiful Life.
Production is supposed to get underway as of mid July and I couldn’t be more thrilled to call the likes of Ashton Kutcher boss; not to mention being affiliated with the CW. Think America’s Next Top Model will be the perfect lead-in.
Hope you guys enjoy!

Another preview from Mischa’s upcoming CW show featuring the opening credit title!
The first cast promotional picture from Mischa’s upcoming CW show “The Beautiful Life” has been released online! Hopefully more photos are released really soon. Big thanks to Mel from Blake Lively Web for providing us with the shot.
E! Online is reporting that the show will indeed air out of America’s Next Top Model on Wednesday nights at 9pm. The official schedule will be announced on Thursday.
Korbi from Zap2It is also reporting about Mischa’s new show being a lock for the fall, and she also mentions that the show could set up residence in New York instead of Canada where the pilot was filmed. Mischa has also previously hinted that she’d be spending a lot of time in New York if the show were to be picked up. I certainly hope it does move to New York.
On a brighter note, I’m hearing really good things about the Ashton Kutcher-produced “Beautiful Life,” which insiders say is a sure thing for fall. Word is, the drama about young models in the city will film in New York, instead of Canada where the pilot was shot, because the network has high hopes for it.
“Melrose Place,” “Vampire Diaries” and “Beautiful Life” are a go at the CW.
The three dramas are being picked up for a fall launch.
The CW hinted at its plans for “Melrose Place” and “Vampire Diaries” when it gave both pilots permission to start making offers to writers and directors.
If the CW pairs the “Melrose Place” reboot with “90210,” that would bring together the updated versions of the Fox series and its spinoff.
With its name recognition and built-in buzz factor, “Melrose” was an instant favorite before a single page of the script was written.
Still, the CW execs waited to watch the CBS Par-produced pilot and liked what they saw.
For the WBTV-produced “Vampire Diaries,” based on Alloy’s series of books about a girl in a love triangle with two vampire brothers, the network hopes to catch the vampire pop culture wave ignited by the success of the “Twilight” franchise and HBO’s “True Blood.”
And with its setting — a co-ed residence of young models — CBS Par/Katalyst’s “Beautiful Life” would make a perfect scripted companion of “America’s Next Top Model.”
It doesn’t hurt that both “Melrose” and “Life” have tabloid-friendly stars — Mischa Barton and Elle MacPherson in “Life” and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. And “Life” is exec produced by Twitter king Ashton Kutcher.
The CW has a couple of other pilots, including “Life Unexpected,” in consideration for midseason.
Style icon Mischa Barton might be known for seamlessly shifting from retro-cool street style and red carpet elegance, but regardless of where she’s headed, Mischa tells PEOPLE.com, “Accessorizing is oddly my favorite part of dressing up.” It comes as no surprise then that the actress has been having fun developing her headband collection with designer Stacey Lapidus. Mischa says that she found inspiration for the hair accessories, which range from $50 to $200, in her jet set lifestyle. “I’ve been working in the likes of India, Milan, Paris, London, Montreal, L.A, and NYC,” she explains. “My style has been somewhat boho chic, which I think is a result of having traveled so extensively throughout the course of the past year.” And she’s about to get even busier! In addition to her headband line and a collection of handbags, Barton is waiting to hear whether her pilot for the CW, A Beautiful Life, will get picked up for a series this fall. “It was a blast to film and though I’ve only seen bits and pieces [of it], I’m proud of the show and hopeful that I’ll get to shoot some more,” she says. “Since I have an obvious passion for fashion, it was also incredible for me to be offered a role that’s immersed in the industry.” Check out Mischa’s collection, available now at staceylapidus.com. – Lisa Ingrassia
Candids of Mischa filming for her new television show (Beautiful Life) in London have been uploaded. She wears several different outfits all in the one day, with the two most noticeable designers being Chanel and Louis Vuitton. She looks AMAZING!!
A couple of news stories have come out with some new quotes from Mischa regarding The Beautiful Life:
‘It’s a younger version of Sex And The City,’ Mischa told me at the launch of Matthew Williamson for H&M. ‘I play a super-bitchy model in New York, which is fun but hard because that is so not me. If the pilot does well, I may be spending a lot more time in New York.’ DailyMail
Elle Macpherson uses insight to help make drama out of fashion
Mandrake hears that the 45-year-old actress has signed up to play a former model turned agent in A Beautiful Life, for which a pilot episode has already been filmed in America.
“It’s a really great show,” said Mischa Barton, who starred in the glamorous drama series The O.C. and plays a model in A Beautiful Life.
It’s like The O.C. times 10. Everyone is dressed in the latest Versace and McQueen. Zac Posen has a fashion show in the first episode and plays himself.”
Mischa, 23, who was speaking at the launch of Matthew Williamson’s range of clothes for H&M, at the chain’s flagship store in Regent Street, added: “It’s hilarious to be playing my character because she’s the famous bitchy character, but she has a heart of gold. She loves a drama. I really enjoy playing her like that, a bit catty.
“I was trying to be as realistic as possible, portraying the good, the bad, everything. I think it’s a fascinating world, couture. I bought most of my wardrobe. My character wears these [she pointed to studded Christian Louboutin heels], which I love.” Telegraph
