A lot has changed on Mischa’s IMDb page over the last few days – namely two new movies have appeared under Mischa’s “pre-production” status. One is an assassin movie called “For Hire” and the other is a feel-good drama executive produced by Martin Scorsese called “Tomorrow.” As always, please take early IMDb casting announcements with a grain of salt.

Here is the synopsis for “For Hire” which will be directed by Giles Alderson and Martin Owen:

Devoted Dad, Peter Frawley, is the only man alive who knows he’s also Thirteen, the UK’s most successful hit man. When someone takes out a contract on Frawley and kidnaps his son, Thirteen finds himself inadvertently hired to kill himself.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Tomorrow”, written by Stuart Brennan and Sebastian Street, is billed as a feel-good story about five main characters living for the day. THR goes on to mention that the film will look at HIV and soldiers returning home with post-traumatic stress disorder. Casting is currently underway with a production date tentatively set for May. Scorsese’s longtime script supervisor, Martha Pinson, will be making her big-screen directorial debut.

Both of the above titles seem to be British productions.

With some good news concerning the two new movies, comes the possibility of some bad news. Back in January, IMDb added Mischa’s name to the cast list of an action movie called “Homefront” starring Jason Statham and James Franco. Mischa’s name has since been removed from the list. Sometimes this simply means that they’re updating the page to add additional information, but other times it means that the initial listing was incorrect. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see on this one.

Additionally, Mischa is also attached to star in a third movie called “The Cabin at the Lake.” This is from the same people who were originally going to make a movie called “Into the Darkness” with Mischa, but that never came to fruition. Considering that this title is listed under the “script” phase (and has been for a while now), it seems less likely to go ahead – with Mischa on board at least.

Finally, we’re still waiting on IMDb to add a horror movie called “L.A. Slasher” to Mischa’s page as we have visual confirmation of her filming scenes for this.

The film was covered in Universal Film Magazine when it was uncovered that the Scorsese/Pinson movie “Tomorrow” was being made with Neil Jones and Stuart Brennan, the pair were exposed giving themselves awards from their own festivals for years despite submission fees from filmmakers

Universal Film Magazine, worth a look at the expose –
